When we bought this house, it had a sump pump already installed. It stopped working and we are going to need a new one installed. I have tried to look up sump pump installation myself, but I do not think I am going to be able to handle this kind of job on my own. I can do most things, but I do not want to risk getting electrocuted or ruining something. Our basement has a small water issue when it rains so we cannot go without having one for long. This year has been particularly rainy and I need one to be installed as soon as possible. At some point, we are going to have to fix the foundation to keep water from getting in. We have plans to finish the basement so having a leak will not be a good thing. Until then, we will be using a sump pump.
